Stephen C. Frederico

Founder & Chief Admissions Strategist · Committee: University of Pittsburgh

Stephen is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine applying into neurological surgery. He brings four years of firsthand experience as a full voting member of his school's admissions committee, interviewing and evaluating applicants across traditional MD and combined BS/MD programs.

Before founding AdmitMD he worked with established consulting firms, where he saw how volume-driven, formulaic advising fails to reflect the realities of competitive admissions. He created AdmitMD to offer individualized, transparent guidance grounded in real committee insight.

Frequently asked
Who are your consultants?

Every AdmitMD admissions strategist has served on a U.S. medical school admissions committee and has professional advising experience. We have sat in the decision room and evaluated thousands of candidates.

How many clients do you take?

A limited number each cycle. That is what keeps the advising personal. When the roster is full we say so.

Do you work with BS/MD applicants?

Yes. BS/MD is a dedicated track with its own strategy for the Common App and program-specific supplements, led by advisors who came through BS/MD programs and sat on their committees.

What about re-applicants and career changers?

Post-baccalaureate and SMP advising is a core service. We diagnose the previous cycle before touching the new application.

Do you offer hourly help?

Yes. Targeted hourly consulting (5–10 hours) for applicants who need help with one piece, such as a personal statement or interview prep.

Schedule your free consultation.

We work with a limited number of applicants each cycle. Tell us where you stand and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
